The room was clean but should be refurbished and available with high ceiling. We were pleased to have air conditioning and a kettle...

The location was marvellous, just next door to sites around Gent and the center of town and easily accessible. A few times I ate at Restaurant de Graslei, located at a short distance from the hotel. I was happy, the twin/double room I booked came with a large bathroom, separate shower plus fridge.

Huge and spotless room with a beautiful view. Historic area, very central location close to the beautiful chapel, the monastery and the garden and thé garden. And 10 mins walk to a current castle.
Very bad bathroom.

Very helpful staff, very spacious room and received complimentary upgrade which was a nice surprise. Beautiful surroundings in an old monastery, really quite different from anything I have seen before, so a rather unique experience altogether.

My favourite property in Ghent. Plenty of excellent food. - Neat and recently renovated room with large bathroom. - In the middle of Ghent, central location. - Based adjacent to both big train stations. I absolutely love staying at Hotel Monasterium Poortackere Ghent in Ghent. the food is fantastic, and the rooms are clean and recently updated, with spacious bathrooms. Plus, its central location in the heart of Ghent, right next to the major train stations, is incredibly convenient.

Great room, central location, interesting hotel, worth to stay to experiance.
Normal extra cost for beakfast, 15 euro each, but I only want toast and tea, 15 euro is a bit much if you dont eat like a horse!Never paid extra in Germany.

The room here was spacious with smoke detectors for safety, and it's conveniently located near the historic center.

Beautiful surroundings, some stunning architecture in the building itself. It was very quirky and quite unusual.
The room was extremely basic. Booked a double and I go a single.

I liked the building however do not feel that the owners are doing it any justice.
I paid for 2 double rooms however ended up with 2 uncomfortable single beds pushed together. No attempt made to organise the beds into a double in terms of sheeting. Rooms were very basic with lights not working, toilet not fully intact and shower blocked - This was for both rooms. Breakfast was very poor with flies hovering/landing on the food and the milk was slightly sour. It is considerably over priced. In addition to paying the 140 euros (inc. city tax) for each room, an attempt was made to charge an additonal 30 euros for breakfast on each room plus 10 euro parking - that's 180 euros per room.

The breakfast was generous with a delicious melon salad and great coffee, I enjoyed the food and the location here, and I would definitely come back.

Very relaxing and great location for city centre
Did not realise mosquitoes were a problem and opened a window and unplugged a device thinking it was an air freshener! Bad mistake bitten lots but soon rectified when we realised.
